Bodie is in the UK! 🇬🇧

Bodie life began in Zante, where he once had a family – before they decided they didn’t want him anymore and planned to have him shot. We suspect that Bodie was meant to act as a ‘guard dog’ due to his size – but he likely failed at this because he was probably far too gentle and affectionate for the job.

So we stepped in and he came to rescue – where he proved himself to be an absolute gentleman. He fantastic with dogs, cats, ducks, horses and LOVED the children. A true gentle giant!

Bodie was then offered a home in the UK earlier this year, but due to no fault of his own, he is once again searching for his happily ever after. His current family adore him, but they’ve realised that he needs a more experienced and active environment to truly thrive.

Bodie is an energetic, intelligent boy who needs regular exercise, stimulation, and structure. At the moment, he isn’t getting off-lead time, and it’s left him bored and frustrated – leading to some lead reactivity towards other dogs. His reactivity isn’t about aggression – he’s just craving lots of mental stimulation and lots of exercise. 

Bodie is affectionate and loves being near his people. He can be left for short periods but is happiest with company, so he’d suit someone who’s home most of the time. He does bark at outside noises and people passing the window, so a quieter home set back from the road would be great – but with consistent training and positive outlets for his energy, his barking will likely subside in time as well.

Bodie has been through so much but continues to meet life with love and loyalty. In the right hands, he’ll be the most devoted companion you could ask for.
