Hudson is a handsome 2-year-old, 20kg Labrador type who is currently living in the Southampton area.

Hudson is still like a playful puppy – he loves his walks and to chase a ball in the garden, he could do that for hours.

Hudson does have some worries and can be spooked with unfamiliar situations. When he first meets other dogs, he can be nervous but, once he knows them, he is very playful and would be happy in a household with another dog. He has great recall and will come for the word “biscuits” as he loves a treat; this word is used as a distraction word when training with other dogs. He is obedient and knows the commands to sit, stay and lie down. He does like a chew but has never once chewed the furniture, its usually an antler or a ball.

He lives with a large companion dogs but is not so great around small dogs. He currently lives with a cat. Like most rescues he can be anxious around strange men but is great once he gets to know them.

Sadly, Hudson needs to find a new home as he has had quite a few changes around him, and he is not so good around small children. He has also been seeing a behaviourist for some work around small dogs, which is much improved; the behaviourist advice will need to be continued.

As with all rescue dogs, Hudson will need someone home most of the time initially to help him settle.
He is, however, used to being left alone for up to 4 hours and, as he likes to chew, he is left with an antler.

His new family will be EXPERIENCED owners who will commit to his further training and building his trust. A confident female companion dog would be a benefit to him too.

Hudson is neutered and up to date with his vaccinations.

He currently lives with a companion dog and a savvy cat.

Children in the home and those visiting must be over 15 please.
