Meet Esme (who is in foster in UK)
Esme’s owner brought her to us because he didn’t want her anymore! Esme had lived her life on a chain.
This lack of love and socialisation has left her fearful and mistrustful of humans. When she first arrived with us she was so terrified that we couldn’t even approach her without causing distress.
However, with time and patience, Esme has already made remarkable progress. She has started to trust us and is gradually learning that not all humans are a source of fear and pain. However, she will still bark at visitors until they sit down!
Esme is still a work in progress, but her progress is remarkable. She is looking for an experienced, compassionate and understanding family who will provide her with the stability, patience, and love she needs.
