Molly is a beautiful Lab/Pointer mix born March 19, due to a change in family circumstance she is looking for her new forever home. She is in a fabulous foster home in Surrey. Her foster mum says……
Molly is loving and sweet, she loves to greet you when you enter the room, sometimes a little too much, almost turning into a kangaroo! She loves cuddles and will do anything to get on the sofa (and the bed if you let her!)
Molly is very energetic and can run for miles & miles! She loves to play with our dog and those she meets out and about. She is very much a water dog splashing around in any puddle that she passes and finding water where-ever she goes!
She is quite vocal both barking to protect and guard but also having a conversation with you in a very friendly way. She is a chewer! nothing can be left in her reach when she is left alone as it won’t be in one piece when you get back, usually a big bone or Kong will work a treat.
She has a real dislike hard floors, she doesn’t like sliding on them, it has taken a lot of time and patience to get her used to our kitchen, the more you pressure her the more she backs off.
Her training is doing well but she is young and will need ongoing training, she used to pull a lot on the lead, she is very strong and it’s taken us a lot of work to resolve this.
Her recall needs more work too, it improves as she tires and is better with our other dog, but she needs to release her energy by running before she wants to come back, we have hired secure fields to allow her to do this.
She can be left for around 3hrs on her own, she does need appropriate chewing toys to keep her amused though. She is NOT crate trained and we think she will cry if she is put in one…..
Molly needs an active family who are willing to continue her training and give her lots of mental & physical stimulation. Ideally with a young active companion dog.
She is great with children but due to her size and energy, older children only please.
She has lived with cats her original home but will chase cats outside.
Molly is shy around new people so she might need to meet her new family a few times
Molly is recently spayed and is up to date with her vaccinations.
