A Message From Nicole

Woof! My name is Nicole, and I’m here to tell you a little bit about myself—straight from the dog's mouth!

I’m currently Adopted and enjoying life in my new home but I’ve got friends who would love to meet you!

Paws and tail wags,
Nicole

My Story

Nicole may only be around 5–6 months old, but she has already proven herself to be one very brave little girl.

When she first arrived with us she had clearly been through a lot. Scars and teeth marks on her face and neck suggested she’d likely had some frightening encounters with other dogs, and she had been seen running along the roads for days in dreadful weather conditions.

But the moment she arrived somewhere safe, Nicole showed us exactly who she is.

Instead of running to the food bowls like most hungry street pups would, Nicole ran straight past them and chose a cuddle instead.

That pretty much sums her up perfectly.

Despite everything she’s been through, Nicole has remained a joyful, affectionate, people-loving little puppy who simply wants to be close to her humans.

When she arrived her little legs were slightly bent, likely from a calcium deficiency caused by poor nutrition while living on the streets. Thankfully, with good food, care and time to grow, this has improved massively and our little “Miss Bendy Legs” is now running around happily.

And run around she does!

Nicole may be one of the youngest at the rescue, but she certainly doesn’t think so. Sue describes her as a bit of a diva, happily trying to keep up with the bigger dogs and always make sure she’s the centre of attention.

She’s confident, playful and absolutely full of character – and she also happens to have some of the best ears we’ve ever seen, which seem to operate in at least five different modes depending on her mood.

Nicole is expected to stay a smaller/medium sized dog, making her a lovely portable little companion, but what she may lack in size she more than makes up for in personality.

After everything she’s overcome already, we think Nicole will grow into a resilient, loving and wonderfully entertaining family member for some very lucky adopters.

She fought her way through the hardships of the streets, so we’re quite sure she won’t let anything slow her down now.

After all… her street name was No-Quit Nic!
