Feedback from a Healing Paws adopter

Apr 17, 2023

We love getting feedback, and this is the best kind. Hear how one of our gorgeous little pasta puppies has settled into her new home.

Emily, a new healing paws mum, shares with us how Carbonara, now Ottilie, is getting on …

“Ottilie is a wonderful little dog and is settling in amazingly well.

She has moved from being so shut down that she couldn’t use her legs on day one, to a confident and joyful pup.

Ottilie loves scampering around the garden, walks on a lead, enjoys walking in our local park, interacting and playing with other dogs. She is almost completely toilet trained, which is impressive given that I live in a flat. She sleeps through the night on my bed and is brilliant in so many ways.

We meet quite a lot of rescue dog owners on walks, as well as professional dog walkers, and they can’t believe how much progress she’s made in the three weeks since she arrived.

A lot of this, I think, is down to Healing Paws and the start she had in life – she was so well socialised and loved! Also the guidance and FAQ provided was really helpful to me, and my family, reassuring us that things take space and time.

I feel very lucky I got my dog through the Healing Paws Animal Rescue organisation.

Thank you also for the opportunity to become part of the Healing Paws Home at Last Facebook community. I posted on day one and the messages of support and welcome were invaluable. I will post her progress again at the one-month mark!

I can’t thank you enough for my new best friend who has already changed my life for the better, and for all the work you do!

All the best

Emily”
